Paint:
  • Delta Ceramcoat
  • Black Green
  • Brown Iron Oxide
  • Leaf Green
  • Barn Red
  • Rouge
  • Light Ivory
  • Forest Green
  • Golden Brown
  • Apple Green
  • Tomato Spice
  • Liberty Blue
  • Autumn Brown
  • Surface: Rusty Bucket

    Brushes: Usual selection

    Other supplies: Scissors

    Prep: 1) Clean the bucket, then let it dry overnight. Apply one coat of Jo Sonja All Purpose Sealer to the bucket. Let dry, then lightly sand.
    Apply a second coat of sealer. Let dry, then apply basic pattern lines.

    2) Splatter the bucket with Black Green, then splatter it with Brown Iron Oxide. This helps to soften the patchy background colors.

    3) Paint the leaves with Forest Green. The triangle border on top is painted Black Green. Apply a second coat of paint to the leaves.
    Stroke one coat of Golden Brown onto the flower petals. The flowers have Brown Oxide centers. Paint the butterfly body and head with Golden Brown.
    Paint both wing sections Liberty Blue. The berries are painted Barn Red. The leaves and berries have Forest Green.
