President’s Message
 I’m so glad warmer weather is finally here! I can’t wait for our bus trip. Our chapter is paying for most of the trip because all of you deserveit – so try to take advantage this trip. It should be great! I thought I wouldn’t be able to go, but my back surgery has been delayed until later. If you haven’t signed up for the bus trip yet just call Pat Slutter.
It was so nice to get all the favors for our luncheon done in March! Thank you Rocky and Joan Leonard for all your work. At this April’s meeting, everyone’s piece they were painting with Kay Hattori looked wonderful. I love seeing the different surfaces members come up with.
Don’t forget the “Lunch Box Extravaganza” in May – this should be lots of fun again. I’ve got my container ready to be filled with a yummy lunch, and I can’t wait to see what container I’ll get! I don’t mean to fuss…but here are a couple of nice reminders:
….when you sign up for refreshments for a given month please remember to bring something (I find it helps to write it on a calendar). And if for some reason you can’t come when you’ve signed up- it’s your responsibility to call another member and ask them to take your place.
….when another member is nice enough to teach a monthly program, let’s all be considerate and try not to talk while they’re talking/teaching, save it for lunch break if possible. I’ve noticed an increase in this (and unfortunately I need to practice what I preach as well).
….have you painted your 3 ornaments yet? And your painted auction piece?
